Travel Europe?
I want to go to Europe, I don't care which country i start in. I am then going to backpack around Europe and visit different countries, I am also planning to get short term work as I travel around. I am an 18m Australian, been trying to find this out for ages and can't get a straight answer. Email me if you are thinking of travelling Europe and need a buddy, have done this before or have additional info. Thank you for replies

- First thing you may need is a hostel membership its easy to find these places and i know here in Germany there are a few that are even in castles. The run from 7 euro to 10 euro. Be careful how much money you bring the Euro is strong right now and life can get a bit expensive around here...in the U.K. just forget it the pound is is double that of most other currencys. Europe is suprisingly safe compared to the US to travel on mass transit with so youll be spending alot of time on trains but dont worry they are confortable and clean...all in all very pleasent to travel in. Enjoy Europe bro and have fun...get a passport and as for as Visa's go i would just contact my embassy they will know what you need.
- I'd read up on the countries that interest you and make my decisions based on that. If you want the names of some places where there are a lot of other travelers your age: Amsterdam, Netherlands Cinque Terre, Italy Pamplona or San Sebastian, Spain Interlaken, Switzerland Ibiza, Spain Barcellona, Spain and then of course there are the big cities where you'll find lots of young people in all the hostels. There are good and bad things about staying in hostels, but I think at your age you'll find more good than bad, probably meet loads of young travelers, and have to time of your life. Enjoy.
