Would I be better with a travel card or sticking with my bank card when travelling round Europe?
By travel card I mean something like a Post Office or Travelex card, and my bank card is just a Visa Debit for my HBOS current account. If a travel card is better any idea what's the best kind to get? And if a bank card is better any recomendations of banks or cards? I'm going travelling round Europe for 3 months, leaving on May 18th, so kind of need to get it sorted quick!

- Personally, I just use my bank card. It really depends on the benefits of your travel cards. I can hardly remember any of those listed on the mini-banks in European countries, BUT I did not really look for them either. How much does it cost each deposit of your Visa? And can you buy the stuff in stores free of any Visa charge?
- When I go overseas, I actually take both.Last time I went, I had called my credit card co. to let them know that I would be using card in Europe. Somehow, these idiots shut my card down. I did have a travel card which worked out just fine. Be sure to call your bank and let them know you will be using your debit card overseas, just to be safe. Have a nice day.
- I use a bank card.
