What's the best way to travel to Italy?
We are a military family stationed in Germany. We want to go travel to Italy this summer. We have a 3 year old and an 8 year old. What's the best way to get there? Should we drive, take the train or fly? Any recommendations and/or experiences? Want to visit Rome, Florence and a quick stop in Pisa.

- Train, fast and cheap Drive, the most convenience (Driving in Italy can be hard on the nerves) Flying not so practical
- Definitely the train.
- I am stationed in Italy, and I would recommend that you drive it might be the same price as taking the train. But seeing how you have two kids, I think driving would be better and a bit easier to entertain them. And that way you wouldnt have to worry about missing the train or anything. You can also check out ryanair.com and easyjet.com to see if you can find any good deals on plane tickets. What part of Italy are you wanting to see?
- Take the Euro Rail, and get a Euro Rail pass for the year. You can then travel throughout all of Europe with it!
- Train, if you've ever driven in Italy you would know why...
