Why aren't there many good packaged travel deals from Houston to Europe at a good price?? I mena seriously, when I look online for Travel Deals or Last Minute travel they all seem to leave from JFK, Chicago, Miami, or LAX. What is a great deal for annual travel insurance in Europe? I'm looking for annual travel insurance that's quite affordable. I'm living in the UK and am staying here for another 6-7 months, my travel insurance i had has expired and I don't want to go with them as I believe they're a bit too expensive. It's only for travel in Europe with no skiing involved, but scuba diving probably. I'm 28 years old. Do most travel insurances cover loss or theft of electronic items?
What's the best (value) to travel through Western Europe? I'm visiting Europe this summer for 3 weeks, my fiance and I are planing on traveling to France (arriving in) , England, Spain, Portugal (departing from), what is the most economic form of transport within Europe , is it still be rail, motorcoach or cheap flights? Can you recommend some travel sites with good deals?
how do travel agents find such good deals? Recently my family was trying to find a flight deal to Europe for a good price. online cheapest that we could find for June were $1,700+(most with 2 or 3 stops) So we decided to call our agent that our relatives know. He found us a deal for $1,300! one stop! then I went on that airline's site wich is delta, and tryed to search for te same flight only to find that THE SAME tickets that we're getting are being sold for $1,300 on delta's main site! Is there something im missing like not searching good enough, although im pretty sure 1,500 is the cheapest you can find to Europe these days. and im flying to Moscow...which is even more east. and how do the agents find such good deals? so easily? dont they earn money from doing that too?
How safe is it to travel through Europe alone? Ok, here's the deal, I just graduated high school and my college plans are in the process of failing me. I want to work har, save up money and take a very LONG trip through Europe probably by myself (unless I can find a travel partner). Is there anyone who has done this and is willing to give advice. I really feel strongly about going. I went last summer with my mom, but I need to go again. Any friendly advice is appreciated. Thank you!!! Peace.
What are some tips for traveling deals online? I have done it a lot with traveling in the U.S, usually using Expedia, but now i'm looking to travel to Europe and Japan/Asia. Looking for times to go to these places, and good sites, or if i need to bundle or break up hotel/flight. THanks!
Best train travel options through Europe? I'm planning a 6-week trip to Europe starting in England and ending up in Italy. I want to visit a lot of the countries in between either to major cities or small towns. I'm wanting to know what the cheapest and best deal is for train travel. Should I get a railpass, a eurailpass, or buy point to point tickets? I'm also not sure of how many days I plan on traveling around or how many days that are going to be required to do that much traveling. I don't and probably won't have plans set in stone as I plan on going wherever whenever I feel like it. I'm 23 so I fall within the cheaper price range. Please give me your suggestions. im looking specifically for train travel...not plane travel even if its cheaper
anyone have any good advice or suggestions on finding the best deals for travel? Cruises seem to be the way to go but most only go to Caribbean or Mexican areas and I want to go to Europe without having to fly there first then get on a cruise. If I am going to fly to Europe than I don't need a cruise. Help me anyone know someone that knows someone that found a secret site or trick to getting the most for their money when booking a trip

When is the best time to travel to Europe? In particular, Norway? What is considered a good deal for airfare and food expenses? I have a friend there so I do not need to worry about housing. However, I realize the currency there is stronger than the Pound and the Euro as they have their own currency. I also know Oslo is one of the most expensive places to live. I live in the US.

Need help with Europe travel - Italy, Rome, Greece? I am trying to plan my first trip ever to Europe and I want to do it with a travel agency. I heard about Contiki and they have a deal for Italy, Rome and Greece for $2300. The trip is called Mediterrian Trail play 3 day Greek Island Cruising. http://contiki.com/tours/198-mediterranean-trail-plus-3-day-greek-island-cruising The problem is all of the dates they have conflict with my personal and work schedule. I wanted to know 1) Is this a good deal or would it be better to plan it myself? Keep in mind it's my first Europe trip and I am terrified to go alone. 2) Are there any other travel groups like Contiki who offer deals like this? I want to go with a group and try to find a place that offers something that will work better with my schedule. Thanks!

Best way to get from the UK to rest of Europe? A buddy and I are going to travel Europe in a few months, and we are getting one of the Europass deals. The Eurorail does not include the UK though, and this is probably where we will be flying in. What would the cheapest way to get to another country be, and what would this country be (Ireland?) Dude, I'm not that stupid. I know Ireland isn't part of the UK. I didn't say it was. I said it was part of Europe.

If you were an American and you could travel to one place in Europe where would it be? I won't be able to go into this volunteer work abroad program that I wanted to next year because it's going to cost a fortune. Anyway, for graduation, I'm going to be traveling to Europe somewhere for a week. My brother and sister-in-law have a deal where you can stay at a hotel for a week for free. They're giving it to me and my mother. I know things are more expensive there because the Euro is worth more than the American dollar. I can't decide whether to go to London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, or Amsterdam? Those are all places I would love to go. Where would you go if you were American and you could only choose one?
What are the cheapest options to fly one-way from Europe to the US? I am hoping for any suggestions on discount airfares/websites from Europe to the northeastern US. I currently have one flight remaining on a multi-destination ticket that will return me to London from Bangkok. I purchased this ticket because it was significantly cheaper to depart from the UK than the US. At the time I found a really cheap one-way flight to Ireland($235) from Newark, but I am having less luck with a connecting one-way flight home. I don't expect to find such a good deal to return home, but I have a hunch that there are different websites that specialize on travel to the US from Europe than US based websites that offer good deals departing from the US. Since Ryanair has coverage around much of the continent, I am fairly flexible about where I fly from in Europe. I hope to return to the East Coast of the US anywhere between Wash D.C. and Boston-whatever's cheapest ; ) Please share any information and suggestions about this you may have. Thanks for your help.

travel to europe for a non-US army spouse? Hi, My husband is currently training at Fort Knox and will be graduating in mid-September. His orders are for Europe but he doesn't know which base yet. I am a non-US army spouse but I do have permanent residency in the US. I was wondering if anybody could help me find out if I needed a visa which I am guessing I do since I am from Nepal and how to go about getting the visa. I called the Italian and German Consulates and they said that they don't deal with Military Family Members, everything has to go through the Army. So, if anybody could help me regarding this, that would be great. Also, I was reading blogs and websites about moving to Europe and I encountered various terms such as Command Sponsorship, COLA, EFMP. So, I was wondering what they were and also what would be the process of filling out paperwork for moving to Europe. I called the helpline number for CONUS and they said that my husband will do everything but my husband has been asking me to find out the procedure so, now I am getting very confused. So, if anybody has answers for any of my questions, I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks. thank you so much guys, this is the most helpful info I have got so far. and not being able to talk to my husband frequently doesn't help. would i still be getting BAH for here at home while he is in europe sorting through paperwork? or is he going to get BAH for europe? And thanks for letting me know about the no-fee passport. That was one of the questions i had a lot of trouble getting the answer to. so, basically i have to wait until my husband gets everything done. also, do i need to be in the US while he is getting paperwork in europe? or can i be in another country in europe? like england ? my question is towards efmp. does the military installation where i have to get tested have to be in the US or can it be europe?
I'm 19 years old and want to travel to Europe with a friend. My ethnic parents won't have a word of it. Help?! -I've tried explaining everything very maturely. We're going on a tour, it will be safe and I'll take extra care. They're so stuck in their ethnic thought processing that they really won't have a word of it. My sisters aren't supporting me because I'm the youngest and they were never allowed to travel either. The thing is, I'm trying not to let guilt win, and I'm trying NOT to take no for an answer. I absolutely do not want to take no for an answer. I keep telling mum calmly that I am definitely going. She keeps fuming up and yelling at me, saying that if I dare go, I can't come back home. It's a big deal for them because they're brought up differently, but that shouldn't dictate my life. I REALLY want to go but I don't want to be stuck with a feeling of guilt while I'm gone, or create trouble at home and leave it for my sisters to deal with. I just want to be selfish for once and only care about what I want, but it's way harder than it sounds. What should I do? By ethnic, I just mean they're Middle Eastern and so have a different upbringing. And yeah, I'm starting university next year, a four year course, and this is the best situation I'll be in financially for ages! So it's hard to just put up with them saying no, because it's likely to be the only chance I have :( Thanks. That's exactly what I think. They can be huge pains in the ass sometimes. They're generally laid back and not strict, just with things like this. So yeah, I agree. I reallllllly want to go, but they're overreacting. Hopefully I don't let guilt get the better of me. We only live once, and it's such a trivial matter that they are making into a huge dilemma. Thanks again
